About
KARMA YogaFest began in 2011 when Adrienne White wanted to raise funds for “Off the Mat” headed by Seane Corn, for a trip to Haiti. She poured her soul into an event for our local area and managed to raise over $20,000 that first year! Since then she’s added lots of helpers to her team and feels this is very much a community-involved event. Every year has taught her new lessons and brought more and more wonderful connections. Since this year is a quantum leap, for the TEN-YEAR anniversary, she has recruited even more help and owes an incredibly huge THANK-YOU for everyone involved!
2020 marks the year we dive deep into yoga for trauma. The donations to our 501(c)(3) will still go towards the benefit of local kids but the main funding we will offer is going towards work with veterans and other populations with severe trauma. Additionally; we are working on a variety of grants to get disparaged populations certified in yoga and/or strength training as teachers, giving our world more helpers and giving those who wish to move past their current surroundings a chance at a new life.
Yoga, for us, is a tool used to make you the best version of yourself.
We wanted to bring some of the most influential teachers in the west to our small town - in an event that really encapsulates what yoga is all about; a fun, introspective, loving, compassionate, humble series of events that flows through the twin cities!
We believe the practice of yoga has balanced our view of the world, made us more objective, and allows us to pursue collaboration - not competition.
Yoga is for everyone! We want this festival to be a celebration of human potential and how we can all help each other achieve our dreams. This is an open invitation to all yogis; you’ll be participating in an opportunity to connect with masters and give back to the less fortunate.
KARMA YogaFest is a manifestation of desire to share and grow!
We believe in intention. Ours is to be genuine and loving. We wish to be balanced. Starry-eyed and a zest for new experiences, but not naive. Powerful but responsible, humble yet masterful.
